Company History:

TFS Derby Limited was established in 1982 and for the past 20 years has prided itself with finding and supplying products of all descriptions, and more recently manfacturing fixing solutions for a range of applications.

Ted Pither founded the company in 1982, supplying general fixings to the local trade, including Drill Screws, and the first branded product was BLUE TAP, a self tapping masonry anchor.

The DRILLITT brand of self drilling, self tapping screws was introduced in the mid 1980's and the first moulding machine to make the SPECTRUM products was commissioned in the early 1990's.

David Pearson joined the company in 1991 as Sales Director and was appointed Managing Director in 1998. David became owner of TFS in 2005.

TFS (Derby) Limited expanded further in 2000 when they moved to purpose built premises housing production (now with 4 moulding machines) and distribution.

In June 2002, the TFS Board took the bold step of upping the company's status by putting an insurance backed warranty behind a quality range of fixings suitable for the specifier market. The "K" range of carbon steel fixings is currently seeking Zulassung approval and has been classified as accepted for "Kingspan" products (see www.kingspanpanels.com for more details). Since 2002, the company has also aquired it's own range of stainless steel fixings KING DRILLITT.

In October 2002, Rob Heap joined the company as Sales Director. Rob has over 20 years in the roofing industry gained at Ash and Lacy.

TFS (Derby) Ltd has set up its own quality assessment centre so that products made for us under supplier contacts can be checked through the manufacturing process.

TFS (Derby) Ltd also stock a support range of sealants and rivets, fillers, tools and accessories.
